Search: To do search well the recruiter must have a deep understanding of the role,the ambitions and company culture of the client. We do this by building a relationship, meeting with the various stake holders to establish the core competencies and to understand the outcomes that are required from the appointment. We establish where the candidates might come from. Competitors, suppliers or from similar industries. Based on all the information gathered we form a target list of likely companies and the possible job titles of the people we will approach. The strategy of the search is agreed with the client before any approaches are made.The client is kept informed of who has been approached and the outcome. Cv's are obtained and likely candidates interviewed face to face. From these a shortlist of only the most suitable candidates is presented to the client for evaluation.
Advertised Selection: Many aspects of Advertised Selection are the same as for Search. The principal difference being instead of direct approaches being made to a small number of targets, advertising on selected media opens up the response potential. Advertising can be done in the jobs section of the daily press, in industry journals and magazines or on specialist Internet sites set up for the purpose. In addition to the media coverage, target candidates can be "alerted" that a vacancy is being advertised. We will respond to every applicant who applies. Cv's will be read and evaluated. Candidates who fit the competency criteria will be interviewed face to face and reports compiled. From these a shortlist of candidates would be presented to the client.
Salary Surveys & Remuneration Benchmarking: Knowledge of our specialist industry sectors enables us to bring together a range of information on salary packages tied to geographical regions, length of tenure, scope of the role and responsibility. By knowing our clients well, we have access to realtime information not available on standard survey data.
Reference taking: One of the most complex and difficult parts of the recruitment process is the effective taking of references. We have many years of experience in reference taking and would be happy to discuss the pitfalls but importance of this delicate area.
